WY3P Interests
- ARRL Field Day! Our first one in 2006 was a
blast. In 2008, we decided on fewer towers, and much
more OPERATING time. The result was one of the
best times we ever had, and a new record for 15 meter SSB
QSOs.
- The WPX Contest - This one is obvious! Our
vanity Call, WY3P was specifically chosen because the WY3
prefix is (relatively) Unique. One is unlikely to hear
another WY3 in the Prefix contests.
- Travel & Portable Operations - You will often
hear WY3P from remote locations other than their normal home
QTH. WY3P plans several "field day style" camping and
contesting events each year. Besides being good
practice for field day, it is always great to enjoy
contesting and the outdoors together!
