Well, we all pulled out our best team names, and Dusty was triumphant… INFUEGO!

If you all recall, I had an idea to generate some more income for the payouts, and add a little fun.  The general explanation is that the high score for the week get $5, and the low scorer pays $10.  Here’s how that would have broke down:

Mike +20 (4 high scoring weeks)

Marc +15 (3 high scoring weeks)

Dusty 0 (2 high scoring weeks, 1 low scoring week)

Bill 0 (2 high scoring weeks, 1 low scoring week)

Shawn -5 (3 high scoring weeks, 2 low scoring weeks)

Brad -5 (1 high scoring week, 1 low scoring week)

Russ -10 (1 low scoring week)

Matt -15 (1 high scoring week, 2 low scoring weeks)

Chris -20 (2 low scoring weeks)

Paul -60 (6 low scoring weeks)

Using an arbitrary scoring system of +2 for the winner of the round +1 for honorable mention winner, and -2 for loser of the round and -1 for honorable mention loser, this is the goods:

     Marc     +8         Common

Brad      +5        Last year’s negative number a fluke?

Russell  +5        (+20) over the last 5 years, yet only 23 wins total in that span… baffling…

Dusty    +4         How does the champ only have a (+4)… oh yeah… LUCKY!

     Chris     +2        Do something!

Bill         +1         Back on track in the plus column

Mike      -3          Alfred Morris deserves more than a +2…

Shawn   -4         Quoteth the Bridesmaid… Nevermore!

Paul      -6          Rounding out the bottom yet again

Matt     -8           Rounding out the bottom yet again

NFC (Mike, Marc, Shawn, Chris, Russell)                              +8           Sans the cupcake (Matt).  This division was clearly superior!

AFC (Bill, Dusty, Brad, Matt, Paul)                        -4            Mike  see anything can happen…

*NFC outscored the AFC during the season:  9877 - 9730

Draft Savvy tallies:  follow this link to see details

Drafting Observations:

Brad – Developing a pattern of 2/3 good rounds followed by 2 bad rounds in the top ½ of the draft

Marc – Typically hits a home run in round 11.  Highest value for a particular round with a (+11) overall

Matt – the gambler.  Lots of +/- hits on the board, but just 46% are positive, but you gotta gamble to win!

Russell – Good overall drafter, 58% positive hits, but dies in rounds 14-20,  (-9) overall there

Dusty – tied with Bill for worst performance in a round, (-10), in round 7, recoups in rd. 8/9 for a (+10)

Shawn – cleans up in rds. 1-5, (+21), wow!  But Loses it in rounds 9-13, (-13)

Bill – (-10) in round 6, only 37% good hit percentage, that’s worse than Mike!

Chris – Hits early, and then pretty even keel till the late rounds

Paul – (-9) in first round.  Bad trend.  Need to fix the 1st round blunders!

Mike – Only 82 total good/bad hits.  Lowest of the long-timers.  Needs to take more chances

Onto the odds for year XX!

Shawn:  5-2

In the championship game the last 2 years… Lost.

Looking to take the team name “Bills” in 2 years

Marc:  3-1

You throw enough good teams at the wall, and one’s bound to stick

Brad:  5-1

Becoming a steady playa

Mike:  7-1

I still have a hard time believing this…

Russell:  8-1

It can’t rain all the time.  If I have to pick a bounce back, I guess I pick this fag

Paul:  10-1

Typically finds a way to fluke his way in

Bill:  11-1

1 more good year, and I’ll believe he’s got his balls back

Chris:  20-1

Has anyone seen Chris lately?  Just look down in the standings

Dusty                                                  25-1

C’mon, do you really think you can back that up?

Matt:                                                   30-1

T minus 15 years and counting

Hate you guys!
